Royal Wedding: ‘Let Prince William’s daughter become Queen’
If Prince William’s first child is a girl, she should not lose out to a younger brother in succession to the throne, says a leading MP.

As this year’s marriage of Prince William to Kate Middleton grows closer, the time is right to change the rules, senior Labour MP Keith Vaz told the Commons.
He spoke yesterday as he introduced a Succession to the Crown Bill to the House.
He said the existing rules “might have been acceptable for another age” but added: “At this time in our history, Britain is a modern, egalitarian society and this ought to be reflected in our succession rules.”
Change would require agreement from the 15 other realms in the Commonwealth where the Queen is monarch.
The Prince is set to marry Kate on April 29.
